I've just bought a lovely Tesla Model 3 from Andy at Next Gen Car Sales. 4 years old and 50,000 miles. Before buying it, I went to the EV show in Farnborough and talked to someone from the Tesla Owners Club about 2nd hand Teslas. He told me that generally they are very good and I should expect to get well over 100,000 miles from one. He advised finding a smaller independent garage specialising in EVs for servicing / maintenance rather than using the main dealer (unless it's still under warranty) as they will be cheaper. There is a website - HEVRA.org.uk - which will show garages close-by. Andy picked me up at the station (after a lovely train ride on the Heart of Wales line - the return ticket - just in case - was the same price as a single ! :-) ). We went for a spin and checked around / inside the car. I agreed to buy it at what was a reasonable price. Despite informing my bank of the likely purchase the day before, we then had to wait an hour going round in circles with the fraud team at the bank before they would release the money. Andy was very patient. An all-round good experience and very happy with the car.
Communication was great, Andy made himself available for all my silly questions. This was my first venture in to an electric car and we spoke pros and cons, likely issues etc. I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase another vehicle from him or recommend to friends.
